Scan QR is designed to help you scan QR codes, create QR codes from text you enter, and share QR content from your own device. We do not sell your personal information, and the app does not require an account.

Information You Add to the App

Scan QR lets you enter text to create QR codes, scan QR codes with the camera, choose images from your device to scan, save scan history, change app settings, and share QR content through Android system features.

QR Content You Scan or Create

You are responsible for the content and information you scan, create, store, open, or share through Scan QR. You should only use content and information that you have the right to use and manage. Scan QR provides tools for scanning and creating QR codes locally on your device, but we are not responsible for how you obtain, use, disclose, or share content belonging to other people.

How Your Information Is Stored

Scan history and app settings are stored locally on your device in app storage. If you turn off history saving, scanned and created QR entries are not saved to history. Scan QR does not operate a server account system for syncing or storing your QR history online.

Camera Permission

Scan QR requests access to your camera so you can scan QR codes. Camera access is used only while you are using the scan feature. Scan QR does not record video, store camera footage, or upload camera images to a server.

Images

Scan QR uses the image picker so you can choose an image from your device and scan it for QR codes. Selected images are analyzed on your device for the action you choose. Scan QR does not upload selected images to an Undreamable server.

QR Codes and Sharing

Scan QR can generate QR codes from text you enter and can share scanned or generated QR content through Android system sharing features. When you share a generated QR image, the image is created on your device and passed to the Android share sheet.

Opening Items

Scan QR can open supported links and URIs through your browser, platform handlers, or default apps. When you choose to open an item externally, the target app or service may process the item according to its own privacy practices.

Scan QR Ad-Free Purchases

If you purchase Scan QR Ad-Free, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your full payment details, such as your credit card number. Google Play may provide purchase status information, such as whether Scan QR Ad-Free was purchased, restored, or canceled, so we can remove ads where that access is active.

Ads

The Android version of Scan QR may show banner ads through Google Mobile Ads unless Scan QR Ad-Free is active. Google Mobile Ads may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, and ad performance data to provide, measure, and improve ads. Google handles that data according to its own policies and controls.

Google Play Updates

On Android, Scan QR may use Google Play in-app update services to check whether an app update is available and to start the update flow through Google Play.

Third-Party Services

Scan QR uses platform services and app libraries to provide features such as QR scanning, QR generation, image picking, Android sharing, browser launching, Google Play Billing, Google Play in-app updates, and Google Mobile Ads. These services are used to support the app features you choose to use, operate purchases and updates, and show ads where enabled.

Children's Privacy

Scan QR is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

• You can turn history saving on or off.
• You can clear your local scan history at any time.
• You can toggle copy-after-scan, sound, vibration, and automatic link opening.
• You can deny camera or image-related permissions, but related features may not work without them.
• You can purchase or restore Scan QR Ad-Free to remove ads where that option is available.
• You can remove app data by uninstalling Scan QR or clearing its storage through your device settings.

Security

We take privacy seriously and keep app data local to your device. However, no app, device storage, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and backups.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Scan QR changes. The current version will be posted at privacy.html with a new "Last updated" date.
