Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
Stashr is designed to help you save and organize useful things on your own device. We do not sell your personal information, and the app does not require a Stashr account.
Information You Add to the App
Stashr lets you save links, notes, images, files, titles, descriptions, folders, tags, favorites, trash state, file paths, thumbnail paths, MIME types, file sizes, dates, app settings, sync status, and other organization details that you choose to add or create in the app.
Content You Save
You are responsible for the links, notes, images, files, tags, and other content you add, import, store, open, sync, or share through Stashr. You should only save content that you have the right to use and manage. Stashr provides tools for organizing your saved items, but we are not responsible for how you obtain, use, disclose, or share content belonging to other people.
How Your Information Is Stored
The information you enter in Stashr is stored locally on your device in the app database and app storage. Picked images and files may be stored by reference to the original path or system content URI provided by your device. Stashr does not operate a server account system for storing your stash online.
Links and Web Metadata
When you save a link, Stashr may connect to that website to fetch basic page metadata such as title, description, thumbnail, favicon, and domain. This request is made to improve the saved link preview. If metadata cannot be fetched, Stashr keeps the fallback information you entered or the app inferred.
Images and Files
Stashr uses the image picker and file picker so you can choose images and files to save. The app stores the selected item details needed to show, preview, or open the item. Stashr does not upload selected images or files to an Undreamable server.
Android Sharing
On Android, Stashr can receive shared text, links, images, and files from other apps when you choose Stashr from the system share sheet. Shared text containing a URL is saved as a link, shared text without a URL is saved as a note, and shared streams are saved as image or file items based on the MIME type provided by Android.
Google Drive Sync
Google Drive sync is optional. If you connect Google Drive, Stashr uses Google Sign-In and the Google Drive app data folder to store a backup file named stashr-backup.json. The backup includes syncable Stashr data, such as saved links, notes, folders, tags, item-tag relationships, and deletion records needed to sync data across your devices. Image and file items are kept local and are not included in the Google Drive backup. Stashr requests access only to the app data folder scope used for its own backup file.
Stashr Ad-Free Purchases
If you purchase Stashr Ad-Free, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your full payment details, such as your credit card number. Google Play may provide purchase status information, such as whether Stashr Ad-Free was purchased, subscribed to, restored, or canceled, so we can remove ads where that access is active.
Ads
The Android version of Stashr may show banner ads through Google Mobile Ads unless Stashr Ad-Free is active. Google Mobile Ads may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, and ad performance data to provide, measure, and improve ads. Google handles that data according to its own policies and controls.
Google Play Updates
On Android, Stashr may use Google Play in-app update services to check whether an app update is available and to start the update flow through Google Play.
Opening Items
Stashr can open saved links, images, and files through your browser, platform file handlers, or default apps. When you choose to open an item externally, the target app or service may process the item according to its own privacy practices.
Third-Party Services
Stashr uses platform services and app libraries to provide features such as Google Sign-In, Google Drive sync, Google Play Billing, Google Play in-app updates, Google Mobile Ads, link metadata fetching, image picking, file picking, Android sharing, browser launching, and opening files with other apps. These services are used to support the app features you choose to use, operate purchases and updates, and show ads where enabled.
Children's Privacy
Stashr is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
- You can edit, favorite, restore, delete, or permanently delete saved items inside the app.
- You can organize items with tags and remove tags you no longer want.
- You can choose whether to connect or disconnect Google Drive sync.
- You can purchase or restore Stashr Ad-Free to remove ads where that option is available.
- You can deny file, image, or sharing-related permissions, but related features may not work without them.
- You can remove app data by uninstalling Stashr or clearing its storage through your device settings.
- You can manage data stored in Google Drive through your Google account and Google Drive settings.
Security
We take privacy seriously and keep your saved image and file items local to your device. Saved links, notes, folders, tags, and related sync records are local unless you choose to use Google Drive sync. However, no app, device storage, or cloud backup method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, Google account, and backups.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Stashr changes. The current version will be posted at privacy.html with a new "Last updated" date.
